Today was our second day of fishing aboard The Sea Donkey. The weather forecast was perfect, hardly any wind and around 80 degrees.
Seeing the different birds and vegetation in the mangrove areas was pretty cool. It was especially cool because we saw a dolphin up close and personal. That probably had a lot to do with why we didn’t see any fish!
Despite not catching anything in the mangroves it was a beautiful day and perfect weather. It was tons of fun! We would have been content to head back after that.
With the weather so nice and having plenty of daylight, we decided we would take a quick run out to one of the spots that had been more productive during a previous trip.
We were back to fishing with squid for White Grunt or whatever else would like to bite.
We hit a honey hole with this place. We caught fish after fish almost the whole time we were there. White Grunt to bring home. Along with a Flounder, my first ever Flounder! I was super excited.
I couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. Though it started off slow, I would say that day 2 on The Sea Donkey was a great success! I’m very grateful to have friends who are willing to share their vacation with me, an opportunity I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
