Off To A Good Start!
We just put the feeder up a few days ago. Since we put it in a spot we know is a “deer superhighway” as we call it, the deer have already found it.
Bucks In Velvet
The bucks are in velvet and as they usually do, they are running together since it’s early in the season. Oddly enough last year, they really never stopped running together, even in late winter! I think it is just such an isolated deer population they have their own patterns that are not necessarily the same as in other places. These are peninsula living deer that stick close together all the time.
Mixture Of Good Looking Doe And Not So Great Looking Doe
If you checked out the pictures you can see there are some big healthy looking doe. As well as some older, skinnier ones that don’t look that great.
This Is Just The Beginning!
This is just the beginning. It only gets more fun watching game camera photos as the season progresses. It won’t be long and I will be able to tell the bucks apart!
