I love October and with Halloween, it makes it even more fun. Also, for me, it makes it easier than usual to come up with creative page ideas.
I have already finished my October pages( got excited and started early). So these are some ideas you may want to try! I’m putting it on the blog just as much for myself as a reference for next year since I most likely will forget by the time next October rolls around!
Count Down To Halloween Page
This would be a place where you could not only count down to Halloween, but you could include a check-off list for each week to make sure you have everything you need for your costume and trick or treaters!
Pumpkin Spice Tracker
If you are a pumpkin spice freak like me, it might be fun to track how much pumpkin spice food and drink that you actually consume during the month of October. You could even continue this spread for November since pumpkin spice everything last all fall!
Jack O Lantern Moods!
Have a pumpkin drawn for each day. Then each day draw a jack o lantern face on the pumpkin to represent your mood for the day. I think this will be hilarious to look back on once it is all done!
Scary Movie Tracker
If you look forward to the Halloween season because of all the scary movies on television, why not track that? What scary movies did you watch? Rate them from best to worst? Favorite character from each one? You could do all kinds of fun stuff with this!
Scarecrow Goal Tracker
Write down your goal. Then draw a picture of a scarecrow, just in black and white. Or whatever color you want, just leave it so that you can color it in as you go. As you accomplish steps towards your goal color in a different part of the scarecrow. By the time you achieve your goal then you will have brought the scarecrow to life with color!
Trick Or Treat Tracker
How many trick or treaters came to your door? What was the favorite costume that you saw? Was there a certain costume that was really popular for the kids that you saw a whole bunch of. What trick or treaters costume was your favorite? Which was your least favorite?
Did you offer a mixed bowl of candy for the kids to pick from? Which was the most popular? And what kind of candy was mostly picked around and left behind?
Halloween Party Planner
Set up a spread in a weekly set up so that you can write down what tasks you need to do to each week to prepare for your Halloween party! This will help you get it done slowly but surely all month long so you don’t have to rush around at the last minute!
Grim Reaper Negative Vibes Dumping Spread
I think it would be cool to put a negative thoughts “dumping” page and have a grim reaper on it!
Apple Bobbing Goal Tracker
Write your goals on apples in a bucket, on another part of the page draw a basket and as you achieve your goals, cross of the apple in the water and move it to the basket.
Hopefully, by the end of the month, you will have all your apples in the basket!
Witches Broom Weather
You would want a witch riding a big broom on this page. Each piece of straw in her broom would be a place for you to record the weather.
Daily Tasks Witches Brew In Cauldron
Draw a witches cauldron on your page. Above it put your daily tasks list like a “witches brew recipe”. Each day that you complete all your tasks you can either add a little Halloween doodle in the Cauldron or just use different colors and fill it up as you complete your weekly tasks. I think color coding would be cool for this!
I Just Keep Coming Up With Ideas
I should really buy a whole entire journal, just for the purpose of October since I have so many fun spread ideas! More and more keep popping into my head, but I will stop because I’m sure you have heard enough of my pumpkin and Halloween brainstorm for one day.
If you don’t think any of these ideas are quite right for you then maybe they will inspire you to come up with some cool October and Halloween ideas on your own! Please share them if you do!
Remember… none of this requires being an artist to do. I’m certainly not an artist, not even close. There are so many stickers, stencils, washi tapes, etc… available to make it super easy for you to make just as cool bullet journal spreads as any artist would!
