Trip To Hudson Florida From Maryland
We left early in the morning. I anticipated that I would sleep some. Unfortunately, I felt like an overly enthusiastic little kid and was awake for the whole trip.
We would stop every time the truck got around to a quarter of a tank of gas. Fueled up, went to the bathroom, grabbed food if necessary and walked the dog.
My main issue on the drive down was my eyes felt fatigued from the bright sun. I was wearing sunglasses, evidently, I need double strength ones or something. For whatever reason, it seemed a lot more irritating to my eyes than usual.
The only other issue I had with the drive was neck pain. This is an ongoing issue for me, so I wasn’t surprised that it flared up on the drive. I tried adjusting the seat, it didn’t seem to make a difference. Maybe next time we hit a rest stop I need to try one of those neck pillow things and see if that helps.
We arrived late Thursday.
The weather wasn’t good enough to fish the first two days. We did some fishing off the floating dock and rested by the pool. The next day we found a horse show to go watch in Ocala.
The horse show was a lot of walking for me. It did not feel like I overdid myself, and I can always use the exercise when I’m up for it.
Two Days, All Day, Fishing!
Being on the boat for two days all day definitely flared up all my symptoms (yes, I admit it).
I will admit I definitely overdid it and woke up today feeling not so great. Reluctantly passed on a half-day fishing trip to stay home. I need to rest and recharge we have a lot more planned on this vacation and I want to be physically as ready as I can be.
Not Even Cheating On PT!
This house has a lot of steps! It does have a chair lift, I have not used it once! Using my stick and one hand on the railing I have been doing the stairs quite a few times a day. Coming in and out, and walking the dog and stuff.
It is only a little nerve-wracking, I have been practicing both up and down and feel pretty proud of myself!
A Lot More Vacation Left!
I still have a lot more vacation left, so give it a few days and I will do another traveling TBI report!
Keep on Keepin’ On, even when you are on vacation!
