It’s been a busy couple of weeks. First, I had internet trouble and had to wait for it to get fixed. Evidently, a line got messed up in a storm or something.
Next, I finally got my internet working again, and my darn computer refused to connect to it. It figures right? Sometimes it seems like I just have that kind of luck.
Anyway, now I have the computer back online. So I can easily post to the blog!
Hot Weather Fires Up My TBI Symptoms
The other reason that I have been slacking as the brain bruised blogger.
I have been working teaching lessons and doing the chores around the farm. The weather around here lately has been so stifling hot and like 85% humidity. That may be an exaggeration, I’m not sure what the exact humidity has been. Let’s just say it has been HOT!
The hot weather makes my headaches a lot worse. It also has given me some dizzy spells that I have not had much of up until the weather has gotten so summery, Hopefully, when things cool down, or at least goes back to the normal summer weather, the dizzy spells will ease up.
My eyes have been really straining lately too. I did get some new glasses that do help a little. It has been harder than usual reading. Meaning that I get double vision and fuzzy vision more quickly,
Also, the bright sun outside makes my eyes literally hurt. Even with my sunglasses. They have been hurting a lot more than usual. I used to forget my sunglasses a lot! With a hat I didn’t always need sunglasses. Now I never forget my sunglasses and basically switch to them as soon as I go out. I don’t think the eye trouble really has anything to do with the heat. I’m pretty sure I have just been doing more so I think it has been irritating everything!
My balance hasn’t been that great. I know I told you once that I fell off my parent’s pier. Well, I fell off of it again! Ended up with huge bruises on the back of my legs. I got really lucky. The bruises were deep tissue bruises on both legs. Luckily, I didn’t break any bones and I’m fine now. The bruises are even fading!
One Major Improvement!
My endurance! Even though it has been tough for me some days. My endurance is much better, and I’m getting better at managing my symptoms so that I can do more. I still have plenty of days that I overdo it. The good thing is that it doesn’t take me as long to recover from overdoing it! I don’t have as many crash days!
But enough about my TBI!
