Yesterday Was One Of Those Days
First off, I woke up to the white stuff outside. If you know me you know that I do NOT like the white stuff. Luckily, it was really just a dusting and there wasn’t any icy spots so it wasn’t that bad.
Dumped Snow On My Head
I was driving the tractor down to the manure pile and hit a bump. All the snow from the overhang thing on the tractor was suddenly all over me.
Once it started coming down it just kept on coming! Just when I was thinking, I was finally warming up and could shed some layers, I got attacked by tractor snow and that idea went out the window!
If you read my last post about Buddy, one of the horses at our barn being hurt badly, then you know that was really stressing me out. We were just feeling like there was nothing we could do to help him. Which is a terrible feeling.
On Monday, Buddy had shown improvement. He was still swollen and not wanting to put weight on that bad leg, but he was brighter. He actually wanted to come out of the stall. My mom was able to lead him out to the aisle way and crosstie him. Evidently, he was even spunky enough that he managed to unhook his crosstie twice!
Yesterday, on the other hand, he was much worse. His eyes were not as bright. He was barely able to hobble around his stall. We knew we needed to call in the big guns.
Off To New Bolton Center
We decided pretty quickly that Buddy needed more intensive care than he could get here at home.
Luckily, despite his pain, Buddy managed to load onto the trailer. We were off to PA. It was a terrible day to drive, it was either misting or raining the whole way. We got lucky and didn’t hit any traffic.
We left Buddy at New Bolton Center, confident that he was in good hands. It was a relief to know that the first thing they were going to address is getting his pain under control.
So that’s the latest on Buddy.
After That Day I Needed To Decompress…
So, as usual, I changed and got out my yoga stuff. I realized that this was not going to work. My pets had evidently missed me terribly and thought they needed to be right next to me on my yoga mat.
Needless to say I did a little stretching and then gave up on trying to yoga surrounded by two huge dogs and a cat.
The New Episode Of The Bachelor
I’m not ashamed to say that I’m a huge fan of The Bachelor. Basically, the whole Bachelor franchise, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise. All of that trashiness! ha…. So that is how my day ended.
I watched the episode, fed the dogs and went to bed!
Oh What A Day!
Despite, the tractor snow attacking me, Buddy getting worse and my pets refusing to let me do yoga. It really was an okay day.
I didn’t freeze to death. Buddy is right where he needs to be and The Bachelor took place of my yoga for the day. It all worked out okay!
Song That Reminds Me Of My Day Yesterday! Old School Blake Shelton!
What Day Is It?
National Library Shelfie Day ( whatever that means)
National Chocolate Cake Day ( now that’s what I’m talking about!)
