February 11
I wrote this on February 11. Just never got around to posting it. To be honest with you, I had planned on posting it the next day but I forgot about it!
It was a weird day for my TBI today. Obviously, every day is different with TBI recovery. I have never really had the symptoms in this particular order though!
Woke Up Okay
I woke up at my normal time. Which is around 4:30- 5:00 a.m. My internal clock is set for that time and I hardly ever even bother to set an alarm.
Muscles Felt Weak
As the morning went on, I was able to do everything that I needed to. I just felt like my muscles were barely there.
It was a different feeling than neuro fatigue. This is when my brain just feels so overworked and done in that I get all confused and all I want (and need) to do, is just go to bed.
Nothing More Than Usual
I did not do any more work than I normally do. This is why I felt the muscle weakness was odd and worth mentioning.
Eyes Hurting
As the morning progressed my eyes started hurting and having to strain more than usual. My vision was getting worse. Again, I managed to get things done anyway.
Back In The House
I got back inside around 10:00 a.m. By the time I came in, I was feeling terrible. The worst part is that I could feel the headache I had all morning on the verge of becoming a migraine.
Took Meds!
Since I have gotten skilled at knowing when I migraine is coming on, I took medication and laid down with my favorite thing, an icepack on my forehead.
I basically slept on and off all day. Only getting up long enough to switch to a fresh cold ice pack and mess with the dogs long enough that they would settle down and go back to sleep. So that I could go back to sleep!
CBD For Life Rub-Lavender
This is a great product, one that I have had for a while. I can’t believe I went through half the day without using it! For headaches, you rub it on your forehead and temples as well as your neck and shoulder blades. I don’t always do my shoulder blades, but I felt tension there so I went ahead and put it there too.

Lavendar Rub And Fresh Ice Pack
I used the Lavender rub and grabbed a fresh ice pack around 2:30 p.m. I fell asleep and didn’t wake up until 6:00 p.m. I felt so much better! Still exhausted but the headache was almost back to its normal tolerable level.
Bed Time
I watched one of my favorite shows “Say yes to the dress” for a little bit before I went to bed for the night.
Also before going to bed, I took more medication and grabbed my beloved ice pack.
I Made It Through Another Bad TBI Day
Well, I made it through another very rough TBI day. I guess the one positive is that as I go through bad days, I’m learning new ways to help deal with the symptoms.
I’m just going to Keep on Keepin on!
